Tacoma Sportsmen's Jan 2010 Match Results
Tacoma Sportsmen's Club hosts .22 rimfire (smallbore) matches on the 1st Sat. and 2nd Sun. of each month on the Peil Range.
Sight-in starts at 9am, the match begins around 9:30am. The course is a 60-shot match at steel animal silhouettes.
15-shots per animal at 40m, 60m, 77m and 100m. Bring your .22 rifle down or use a range loaner and have some fun!
January's matches were great. The stoves were stoked for heat and we had a tremendous number of shooters - parking was very full!
We're gearing up for the 2010 season with the Conard Bernhardt Cup coming in April followed by Regionals and Nationals this summer.

Thanks Mike. I think Eric shot a 58 at the December match. That's my all time best score with the 55 at States being the second, now if I could just beat Dennis

Good God, Matt! You need to come up to Machias on Sunday and show me how to shoot like that.
Seriously, though, you and everyone else are welcome up at our smallbore standard/hunter match on Sunday. I haven't been shooting much lately and need to get started practicing up so I will be less embarassed at the Conard Cup and Southern Nationals this year. Getting beaten soundly by someone I used to be able to compete with should do the trick to motivate me nicely! I'll buy lunch if you make it.

Missed you at the match. I might not have been able to give you any competition with my 34 in the standard rifle match in the morning, but I did OK at the hunter rifle match in the afternoon. Coincedentally, I also only missed one pig, one turkey, and two rams in that match. Our matches are only 40 shots, though, so not nearly as impressive as your 56.shakes wrote:Thanks Jason. Just to "help me get used to pressure" today, Byron yelled "Hey everybody! Jason's about to try to get 10-in-a-row!" as I was shooting my last pig. I debated whether to shoot him or the pig, but ultimately decided to shoot the pig as I thought it would be more fun to club him multiple times with the stock than just shoot him once.

Byron wouldn't do anything to distract you now would he Jason, I mean that comment sholdn't have had caused any lingering thoughts while shooting?
