HP sight setting help please

Post by old sparky »

Well I got some stuff together to load to try out the high power. I will be shooting a light weight 24" 7mm-08. I have loaded some with 43 grains H380 with a 168 Sierra HPBT. Can anyone give me approximate sight adjustments that may get me close. I have previously sighted this in at 200 meters with some 139 for hunting. I am going out this week to get my settings for CTPR,s and hoped to get some close "come ups" that will get me on paper at the longer targets.
thanks, Sparky

Sparky, If you are going to Rio, stop at Walmart and get a .99 can of black paint, head to the HP range, paint the gongs and sight in on them. Easier than paper and there's nothing to pick up after your done!

Xpilot,Thanks for the settings. Jim thats a good idea about the gongs and the paint I apreciate that. I hope to have some settings for my rifle and try to shoot at Rio shoot next weekend. It will probably be a laughable sight.
Thanks a bunch

If you are shooting a good BC, your settings should be close to your small bore settings.
