Less than two weeks

Post by duckgumbo »

I received an email from LImey this morning and he informs me that he is arriving on Sunday, May 31 for the Southern Nationals! I also talked to Innocent and she is arriving either Monday or Tuesday. The Slaughters will be here on Tuesday and we will start setting up tents on Wednesday!

I have promised Limey that I would take his crew on a "cultural" tour of our area. He and Jim can verify that it is a most enlightening and entertaining excursion!

I am not sure when F Troop will totally arrive as I nave not heard from Commander Kitty.

Hey Sarge, Ralph and I will be there Thursday evening. Do you also offer a tour of the nightlife?

There is no night life in Winnsboro so to speak. I can direct you where to go, but after Wednesday, we won't leave the club as too much is going on. You should come earlier.

We will have the Budweiser wagon at the club on Wednesday! There is usually a bunch of BS and cooking at the club so you will not want to go anywhere. Maybe some past participants can chime in here and have words of wisdom to ad.

Hammy baby...trust me you will not need to leave the range for night life..the entertainment will astound you and I suspect that maybe even a young salesman may start selling tickets to a cat fight if all I hear falls into place.

That sounds great. We were just wondering if we needed to pack our dancing shoes. And would it be possible to park that Bud wagon at the Embers?

The Bud wagon will be available at the range AFTER individuals have finished shooting for the day. We have never had a problem and only had to disqualify one individual in 18 years. They chose to drink one beer for lunch. The keg wagon is usually locked and untapped until we deem it safe to open it.

If you need a driver, just let us know and we can have you delivered to your motel.

Sgt O' Ducky the Commander will be there on Wednesday...trust you will have POW's there to set up the mobile command post...looking forward to reviewing the troops...Feeling truely sorry for anyone in the silhouette community that won't be able to make "The Greatest Show on Dirt..

Commander Kitty...

By the way, Pat Steiger has issued a challenge to team Kitty and we have honorably taken up the gauntlet....Team Kitty vs Team Steiger, high aggregate, shooter and spotter combined, both guns...loser buy supper Sunday night for the winner...surely this will be enough to get some betting action going...and while we are on the subject, Pat you have to spot all animals for Elizabeth not just the short game...I saw you bring in an "innocent" ringer to spot for Elizabeth for the long game in Texas...

Rumor is that Elizabeth is deadly enough on her own...

Commander Kitty....Now Steiger team can choose whoever they want on the team. The long animals can be a little tricking to read sometimes. We will be working on the strategy for shoot off pressure though, she did well, recovering from the cross fire at the last string of the match.
In any case the looser and winner will have great dinner on Sunday night...with Big Bertha's Chuck Wagon Brigade on patrol.

Innocent,

The difference in spotting is what I'm counting on to make this an even up bet..after all, Pat was 8 targets better than me on sunday's aggregate, the kids were pretty much an even bet....head to head with the kids shootiing with a spotter of equal caliber would be a great bet, head to head between Pat and me, though I conceed nothing and would note that I'm still not at full speed would tip the scales and require handicapping...

Tsk. Mary, I already have conceded defeat and graciously offered to buy your dinner on Friday or Saturday night since I must slip out of town Sunday night. O:-)

If you want the satisfaction of whipping me straight up anyway, then I'll have to get your dinner later.
