What I have been up to...

Well Dave Imas started a trend with the dog training. I thought there must be something to it. Last year I decided to get me a duck dog, was able to pick him up in Feb eariler this year. I had heard the "15 Mins a day is better than 2 hours on the weekend" bit before... but I had no idea what I was getting into... Every day begins and ends with this dog! That doesn't even include the training! (did I mention every day?)

Anyway - my little guy turned 5 months old on Friday. I made a video of him working, I sure am one proud pappa!

Yeh, I did the same thing with my kids. Had 'em trained to a whistle even. Worked too...up until the girls turned 12!

I've got to agree with him George, on both points! It's really hard to train pups bred for Schutzhund to chase dead ducks and they're already too smart for cold water swims. And he'd probably eat your whistle...

And for heaven's sake, take that dogs' long lead off before hitting the swamps! It wold snag on something and drown the poor scrawny thing!
