NAT´L CHAMPIONSHIP 08 IN MEXICO

Post by RICARDO67MX »

HI FRIENDS.

I GIVE you some pics of the Minisilhouette National Championship in Leon Guanajuato Mx. octuber 2008

Pistol cal .22 ...Distances: 25, 50, 75, 100 mts
smallbore rifle cal .22 ...Distances, 40, 60, 77, 100 mts
182 shooters,
New nat´l record 76/80 set by Hugo Hernandez. ( the previous record 75/80 was set by a great shooter Alfonso Ortiz... 20 years ago)

have questions, coments?? go ahead

Here In Mexico every year many shooting ranges fight to win the next championship headquarters, this time, Femeti (like NRA) decides to split the event in two, so one shoothing range of Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas wins the pistol Event and "Tiradores del Bajio" from Leon Guanajuato keeps the smallbore rifle event.

Hi Ricardo and bienvenidos. What's going on with those potbelly rifles? Do those extensions come off to shoot NRA? And how can I get away with it? :-s

I know that in NRA in not posibble to use the potbelly, 8 mexican shooters went to Ridgway Pa. last year and some of them changed that part. Here In Mexico we dont have that rule, the only rule about it is don´t over the level of the trigger protector.

lot of shooters that´s true but let me tell you somehting about the range: is one of the most uncomfortable ´cause is to small for a event like this.

One good thing about the range, you don't have to worry about the wind moving you all over the place like in Raton.

It's a shame we don't hear more about silhouette shooting in Mexico. I looked at the photos and was impressed with how many shooters. I looked at the FEMETI web sight and they have an extensive calender of silhouette matches. It would be nice if we put ALL our matches on one page! It also makes me wonder, is it possible to travel to Mexico and participate in one of their matches?

HI THERE.

theres many matches not so far from the border line that you could attend, this may 23 and 24, gonna be one of the best of the year in Saltillo Coahuila, very near to Monterrey Nuevo Leon, the winners of every distance wins GOLD Pesos, let me give you an example:

If you win the firts place chiken at 40 mts, you receive 10 gold pesos (more than $200 usa dollars) if you win "the acumulative" you can recive $20 gold pesos, so i think a lot of shooters from many states gonna be there.

I gonna ask about the law to "Temporaly importation" of your guns to my country, when i know something about it, i let you know asp.
