Posting a heads up for anyone that was planning to attend our season opener at OFGC...We have had heavy rains earlier this week and are expecting rain/snow later this week and on into the weekend. Saturdays (match day) highs are forecast to be from 36-46 degrees and wet. Due to the muddy access roads and wet/cold weather we have decided to cancel this weekends match. Will resume normal match activity next month. Sorry for any inconvenience....With that said, you guys that normally shoot in abysmal conditions can go ahead and poke fun at us....We will remind you of that when we see you at Winnsboro in June.....

Here's poking Kitty,
We've shoot matches in NY/PA when we had to shovel a foot snow off the berms and than chop the ice around the rails to set the animals that we also had to paint black.

Cold weather shooters are cordially invited to our July matches when it's 106+, but hey, no wind! And no, since we're right on the river, it is not a dry heat... B-)

Hey Kitty, you and the rest of the pussycats can come down here for our match Saturday. We are offering 80 degrees with free hot dogs and beer. And the winner gets to arm wrestle Mallinois. :ymparty:

80 degree temps, silhouette shooting, and a nice beach sound right nice to an office bound accountant stuck here in the throes of an early "Easter bluster" or "Blackberry winter"...shooting in cold weather is okay if you have to, but here, if you wait around a while, it'll warm up...and it actually stays warm for several months....novel concept for you northern guys....

Well yeah, but then it went to Mexico on Spring Break. It'll be back next week - probably with a hangover, new tattoo and a social disease.

BB...social disease, new tattoo and hangover beat coing back in a body bag. But then It really boils down to what part of Mexico the weather went to. Kess, you don't strike me as being disturbed by cold weather much, gaining in age are you?

There's a good time and then there's too much of a good time. Younger son is going to Mexico for a semester in a study-abroad program and it's fair to say Mama and I are a little concerned.
