Kitty and Gator,
Now lets get some of the history straight...Gator is a displaced Florida Cracker, too many Yanks, ran him out of his hometown.
The choice of colors needs to honor the other Florida schools, Gator, let us not forget that UCF is the 5th largest in the country, second largest undergraduate enrollment in the country. Granted UF is larger but only for a short while, UCF has a newer and better stadium of their own this year, so we can shoot more plain clothed cops trying to break up a good tailgating party. Black and gold should be next years colors, if not that then you should go with some of the other fine FL schools like USF or FAU.

Orange and Blue.... Syracuse colorsGator wrote:Kittyjneihouse wrote:If they allow a Florida expatriate to run the Georgia State Match they deserve whatever color shirt they get.......

Kitty, if you are going to sling insults you need to keep up. We are talking about Tennessee, not Georgia. Orange and Blue are appropriate for a Tennesse match. One out of two ain't too bad....

What is a Syracuse? Sounds foreign to me.

Gator,
That is 14.8" between 8pm on the 20th and 11am on the 21st. Both lawmowers, multiple tools in all the sheds, motorcycle in the highest shed, compressors, generator, all under water. None in the house as of yet, less than 3" away, but seems to be holding steady right now. Just emailed work and told them...well we wont go there, I 'll get in to work when I feel like it, probably take about a week for the water to go down enough to get the equipment up and start the oil draining cleaning process, assuming no more of the storms. The satellite pictures are so wrapped up with Fay that they are not showing the showing the Atlantic/and Gulf.
Been sitting on the front stoop weaponized, had a gator less than 10 feet from the front door, part of the goose fence is down so he is looking for some higher ground. Still not much wind but from what I see of the water I'd say the citrus industry is going to have a bad year. Might see how straight the new 700 shoots.
Over a total of 30" of rain between Tuesday morning and now. Only lost power for two hours so far and that was this morning.
If you insist on doing the Orange and Blue, then make the orange a good dye....it really messes with the pink laundry when it runs.

Bob,
Up your way you guys have some hills....water runs downhill, and flowing water can be very impressive. Down here it is so flat that water sits, wouldn't have the problems if the permitting engineers would recognize the needs for wetlands and marshes. Instead they are trading wetland credits in one county for filling in wetlands in counties 100's of miles away. No place for water to go, but man they saved wetlands.
As Dawg would say, this ain't my first rodeo, having been in public service for so long and having worked monitoring water levels and flows in the flood plains/wetlands that are hardest hit I'm not at all surprised. Just another reminder of why I dislike insurance companies, politicians, cubical engineers, and people that want to have houses/politics just like they had 'up north'.
The geese are pissed at being in the dog pen, the macaws do not like the kennel in the living room, but the roosters are starting to crow at each other, despite being in new suspended pens.
Hell I have even discovered that if you cut off the top 1/4 of the passion fruit, add some guava, stir with a spoon then fill with chilled vodka, it makes a good drink and only a spoon and knife to wash.

Still haven't seen the gator again, but I'll watch for him.

Bob,
Managed to keep the gators fenced out up until this storm. As for the macaws, have a couple pairs of AG's, Amazons, cockatoos, an oddball conure and cockatiel, and of course my favorites the geese, and chickens (gamecocks), of course the dogs try to control the crew but are not always successful. Tbone thinks I have a bad gas bill with the shooting the different matches, through a teenage boy in that mess and keep up with the feed bill.
Hot Dog, the storm has sped up to 4mph movement, Cedar Key and Panhandle here comes the water.
