match format

Post by Koldkut »

I've been looking at the colorado state NRA approved match schedule and there are a few things I have noted, one of them being different match formats. The match I went to was a 40 round match, 10 at each animal. Would I be correct to assume that a 60 round match would be 15 shots at each animal? and then the 80 shot agg is a combination of two scores from seperate 40 shot matches?

along with that question, is the 60 round match shot in 3 sets of 5 in a row?

Most Matches around hear are 60's. You are correct 3 x 5 with about 30 seconds break between 5's. Usually 2 matches 2 relays, 1 Match in the morning 2nd in the afternoon. With about 30/45 mins between matches. So each match is an aggregate of 120. Some people who can

We do mostly 40 shot matches here local. When we have a one day regional we do (2) 60 shot matches. Most state matches I attend seem to be (2) 40 shot matches in each rifle, I think the Natties are (3) 40 shot matches in each rifle.

I think the thing with the guys in PA shooting all those 60 shot matches comes from the Omish, something about doing what 'we' do 50% more!
