Found one and bought it...

Post by Fick_2141 »

I fanally got a Win 52B sporter (repro). After losing several bids on GB at $800, I eventually won and bought a really nice one for $750.
And to think these were going for less than $400 when they came out in the early to mid 90's. It came with it's original box and instruction manual. Only the serial number or the "made in japan" stamp on the barrel info, distinguish it from the originals. The quality is as good if not better than an original 52B, and rightfully commands the respect of collectors, and shooters of fine rimfires. I only wish I had bought one a long time ago.
It will be put to good use in hunter class silhouettes wearing a Weaver T-24. I'm still waiting for my Burris signature Zee rings that seem to be on back order everywhere as the shooting weather is improving all around the country, with the coming of springtime.
I can't wait to get to the range with it.

They are nice, but I sold mine. You can't get the 'adjustable' trigger below 4 lbs.

tbone,
You can get the adjustable trigger below the 4 lbs, there is a roll pin that has to be removed in order to do this.
I have at last count more than one handfull of these rifles and to date only one does not have a Karl Keynon trigger in it now, and that trigger is on its way to Nevada this week for Karl to be reworked.
Great rifle Fick_2141, I still shoot mine.

Hi Mary, I did take the pin out. See you in jax. I'm skipping the Sunshine smallbore prone in Orlando that weekend. We're still talking about trying to put on the Sunshine Games Silhouette match here at Hollywood

Tbone,
The silhouette version of Sunhine games will be at Port Malabar on April 19th, at noon. Had to get sometihing into Florida Sports Foundation by Feb...but there is always next year.. would like to see one in south Florida.

The Sunshine Classic should be great, missing a prone match won't kill you.
