I will tell you what I know of the current Buffalo Creek situation. There is a dispute between the US Forest service (they own the land) and the club that leases the land. The forest service wants to increase the rent big time and open a private club to the public. Due to it's remote location, the BCGC cant afford to supply a full time range officer to keep it open to the public. The proposed rent hike would force the silhouette shooters ( we are not BCGC members) to pay a ridiculous match fee. This situation is ongoing, but seems hopeless for us right now. For the time being, we cant shoot there. All of the scheduled matches for BC are now being held at CRC. The other metro Denver SB ranges are in Aurora, Erie, Ramah(east of C. Springs) and Byers. This is a real shame, BC was our favorite range.

Its a shame I had just started smallbore silhouette at BC range (only nine miles from where I live) and then they stopped having matches. The other ranges are to far out for me. Do you know of any one from Conifer/Bailey area or comes down hwy 285 that I could car pool with.BOB MC ALICE wrote: All of the scheduled matches for BC are now being held at CRC. No one I know lives near you, but you should consider shooting a match at Aurora, shouldn't be more than an hour and a half from you. You have been bitten by the silhouette bug; don't let this contagious virus escape your body! Let me know, I can send you a match schedule for the other ranges in the area.

Jim, guaranteed, I will fire up Steelchickens within minutes of punching in Monday, as soon as I get a cup of coffee first. No snow since I posted that picture, we are back to summer. I love this global warming thing. See my latest CRC update. Are you working down south yet?
