Looking for Sightron Big Sky 6-24X 1/2 dot - or Leupold. (FOUND)
I wanted to try out some matches this spring, so I liked the Sightron back in the day.
Naturally a Leupold would work also. Please let me know if any are available. Thanks.

I just put a comment in the scopes section about a new scope I’m trying. Looks great so far. Athlon Argos HMR 4-20 X 50 with IR MOA reticle. 0.7 moa dot with a duplex crosshair, 1” tube, illuminated as well

Thanks Kirk. I ordered one from Amazon. I had 200 bucks in amazon points, so pretty easy to give it a try.

Re: Looking for Sightron Big Sky 6-24X 1/2 dot - or Leupold
I'll give it a good go.
I did invest in Trijicon Tenmile 6-24 with lit dot. They are about 1K each, and I shoot mostly 10 meters, and they are a bit fuzzy compared to a Leupold VX3. I think for smallbore they are pretty nice. Bigger field of view, probably better tracking, but heavy.
I'll add that the new Leupold diamond EFR is super crisp, but I can't cuff that small diamond. I tried and tried, but the diamond does not work for me.
I bought 3 of the diamonds, and only have one now. Maybe off a bench or in prone, but offhand the diamond is too small. If Leupold offered a better reticle, that VX3HD is great glass.
I did send Cheryl a EFR VX3 this week for a dot, so that remains my personal favorite.

Re: Looking for Sightron Big Sky 6-24X 1/2 dot - or Leupold
I can take it, if it is a 1/2 dot. Some had smaller dots. I think I bought two Leupold 6.5-20 EFRs from you, and the dots were 1/8, not 1/2. That cost me 225 each for Cheryl to put 1/2 dots in. So I can't afford that again. So please set up a grid at distance and see the scale of the dot. Thanks, Ter

Thank you sir. That saves a lot of questions.
I will pass on the small dot Sightron, thanks for the offer but it is not what I need.

Re: Looking for Sightron Big Sky 6-24X 1/2 dot - or Leupold
Yes she does. I have one down there now. But, the price went up to 300 bucks this year.
For the heck of it, I specified a 3/4 dot this time around. I was getting 5/8 dots, and they feel more comfortable than the standard 1/2.
Thanks again for the Sightron tip.
I just got a couple of the Athlon Argos .7 inch dots. They are on my indoor rifles, and they don't get elevation dial changes. So far they are a better choice at under 400 bucks, then sending Cheryl 300 for a dot. Those Argos scopes freed up two EFRs for outdoors, so that has my scope inventory happy.

Can you PM me her contact information please?
If that is the case, I might have the Sightron scope you are looking for available.
Thanks, Dennis Ostler
