Anschutz 1808 w/ Schneider barrel, Neil Ward chin stock
Was curious if any of you possibly knew a ballpark number of what this rifle would be worth if I decide to sell. I know it’s certainly outdated and no longer legal in today’s smallbore rules but maybe someone would want it. This has been sitting in my safe and hasn’t been shot in prob 28 years. One of the last smallbore comps I shot was nationals in 1992 and then used it for Olympic 50 m Running Boar competitions. It’s a single shot in great shape with the stainless Schneider barrel with bloop tube and weights. The stock is an original Neil Ward carbon fiber chin stock. Also has the custom offset scope mount for the chin stock. Was just curious if you guys knew an approximate estimate on it. I can text pics as well. I appreciate your time!

While not in the market for such a rifle, I would definitely love to see pictures of this rare bird.
The whole chin-gun era had come and gone well before I got into shooting silhouette, so it bares a certain mystique for those of us that have only heard the stories and rumors.
Even if you choose not to share pictures here, best of luck with the sale!

Thanks! I posted a few pics. Little blurry but I had to dumb them down to fit.acorneau wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:44 pm While not in the market for such a rifle, I would definitely love to see pictures of this rare bird.

I can put up better pictures for you if you want.
Also, price wise is going to be tough as it's not usable in the current stock, best bet for a quick sale would be to restock it or just sell the action alone
I am interested in the stock and scope mount

Would be the cost of the action for me. Maybe if the barrel is long enough to be tapered for hunter class a little bit more.
I paid $900 for my 1808 action and I'd consider that a bit high.
