I've been a good Kitty for a while now, longer than I can stand it......So here goes....Mike granted us this special part of the forum where we could be our obnoxious selves and not muddy up the rest of the board with anything less than pearls of wisdom.....Good enough. I kind of thought that if a person had shit to say about or concerning another person he would take it here, behind the berm....In return, I decided, thought I was not asked to do so, not to call anyone out on the other parts of the forum......
I am as glad as anyone to see metalhead back posting on the board and see that he's asked to be a part of "behind the berm"....I enjoyed the pics he posted and thought they were superb examples of his work. I've always said and still maintain that Marvin does top shelf work and I admire that. Several people commented and it was a good thing. I refrained because that was Marvin's moment and no wise ass comments were needed or wanted...But, whoever that turd was that chose to make his first post one that made a backhanded slap at the behind the berm group was pure chickenshit...And Marvin following it up with his "F troop" comment was equally chickenshit.....
Sorry guys....play nice over there or bring it over here where the whole group can slap you around.......

Kitty,
Ain't the silhouette family somthin'?
Notice that the post is by someone who does not give many details in his profile. I will state that if that it is who I think it is then don't worry, he has no sense of humor anyway and does not know how to enjoy life, drunk or sober. As for the remarks about "seeminly drunk", honestly I do not know any really good shooters that want to spend what we spend to compete ( after all we are a bunch of tightwads!) and then throw it away because we are hungover.
I for one have other medical reasons to severly limit my drinking, but it certainly does not stop me from enjoying an occsional drink when I am done with my responsibilites for the day....usually only when I get away from home and am shooting a match, drunk or sober I can kick back and pick on the 'fambily' as needed.
Innocent Mary.

It seems like every other year we get one or two of these self anointed pompous moral ass kings. They have that self licking ice cream cone syndrome so prevalent in the democratic party as of late. They talk a good game and will get on that soap box at the drop of a hat, but when it comes time to defend or justify their pathetic stance they run and hid behind religion, moral sense ability or children. They will use their keyboard courage and bullying to try and advance their demented agenda of how they know what is best for the community to the other sheep. Their sole purpose in life is to make everyone they can feel as powerless and pathetic as they are in their daily lives. We as well adjusted and self secure in our own morals should take pity on these poor soles and ostracize them from our thought and simply shake our heads in disbelief of what they have become. I personally thank my maker that I was given the ability to see them for what they are and educate the less fortunate to their cornucopia of false bravado. It is quite evident that they want to be in charge but have not the courage or the leadership qualities required due to their mental and physiological handicap. Pity them as you may I would simply instruct them to " Shut up, sit down and color, next time you have a thought, don't. You do not like how I act, the feeling is mutual for sure."

I have personally PM invited metalhead and Jim T. to come Behind the Berm to further explore the depths of their delusions of grandeur and moral concepts. I think once they get to know us they will understand how unfounded their position is.

If you can't stand the heat, don't come behind the berm - but don't run your mouth, either. As I understand the rules, we play nice around the children and save the brawling for back here.
We are a difficult bunch to control and it seems to bother some folks when their perceived leadership position is challenged, but that's part of "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" - American style leadership is a highly competitive contact sport without a finish line or final quarter. It isn't for everyone, and whining and sniping (aka "Bitchin' and Moanin') will not change the balance of power.
If you want to lead, or want our respect, jump in and earn it with some hard work! Build great rifles! Shoot like a champion! Run an outstanding match! Recruit and coach new shooters! We'll let you!

Well Jim T. has decided to hide behind his keyboard and continue with his insults in a PM to me. This is much the position I suspected he would take.

There is a general feeling that the internet is clogged with an overwhelming amount of bullshit that you are required to wade through in order to get to the real information you are seeking. This is an opinion I share, and I suspect is the general attitude represented by the post Kitty references.
However, what he fails to recognize is that this is not in his way. Wading through this bullshit requires an overt detour on his part.
So, to quote the original internet chat groups, he needs to STFU or GTFO.

carl425,
Kitty referenced two different post which "he" are you referring too. Because it sounds like you know one of the two and maybe able to shed some light on to just WTF is his problem.

Dawg,
I was referring to the post about the drunks "behind the berm" distracting people from the "real" content.
I don't personally know any of the posters, but I know the attitude.

Interesting thought, since many of us rarely drink although it is an easy way to dismiss an entire group. And he probably doesn't know my attitude because we haven't met and I've kept my comments on this forum pretty moderate since many of them differ from the group. It's easy enough to get along, even when you disagree, unless you're dead set on being right all the time.
The webmaster would probably welcome authoritative articles from Mr. Marv, or anyone else that cared to write them! And everyone, even F Troop, would appreciate them greatly. But speaking only for myself, I'm puzzled by the attacks. If there's a grievance or offense, let's hear it and try to address it, but there's not much we can do with "drunks behind the berm" and "F Troop". As a group, we're actually pretty bright and this is our outlet, and if it seems like a playground sometimes, well hell, it is!
