In the event that one of us at least spins a target.....15.5???
Come on guys, we counting the total munber of unknowns and other factors or are we trying to determine a fair point spread.
Don't forget I am female therefore unstable.

Now Mary, I've made two good faith offers already and you turned your nose up at both of 'em.
BB, the two offers as I read them are straight up (this one is certainly weighted in my favor) and 5/40 or 20 points (this one does not take into account any of the unknowns on my side...weighted in your favor). Thus my offer of 15, being a more equal of 4/40 less one, giving me a one point break for all the unknowns (from my average) and you a resaonable goal, to shoot nothing less than your average and at least one score above your average.

Without confessing how bad it was, if you had spotted me 5 points and shot the 24 you got yesterday, you'd still have free steak. So if we're both having bad days you still win, so the question is, who's most likely to have a bad day at Benton? Neither of us has home court advantage and both of us have handicaps (I'll spare you, but if it's a continuous problem you'll win, even with a 5 point spread).
Looking at history, I'll have one AAA score, two AA, and one A while you can be expected to show a similar pattern but one class higher across the board so 5/40 seems to level it.
And remember - you challenged me! If you want to keep things interesting, 5/40 might work, but hey, if you can't afford food in Benton, well, as the Token Democrat I am a soft touch so sure - I'll buy you dinner! Hey, we all have hard times! No shame in that...

Got to get my post count up!
Just got able to read this thread and post!
I say that Mary gives the token Democrat ( a real Democrat) 3.5 targets per match. That is fair and if BB needs a spotta, I can get him one that is totally qualified!
Is everyone bringing their F Troop shirts?

Sgt. O'Ducky, I trust you will bring me an Orange shirt so I can be a true Democrat? I could wear it in Benton without fear of county accommodations.
Based on reported scores from yesterday the point spread was 7, or double your suggestion.
Now, I could shoot the 504 Evelio just repaired for me instead of the more dependable Rainy Day Annie. It's nice, but I don't trust it, it's a single stage trigger instead of two stage and I haven't used it since July and won't have opportunity to practice with it ahead of time, so muscle memory is all wrong. Of course, this assumes the rifle will make it to Benton instead of having been washed out of Evelio's toy shop into the Gulf of Mexico.

BB, Obviously you do not know the true rules of the Orange Shirts! Never, NEVER lust after one of the coveted shirts as that will definitely put one on the bottom of the list. You have to be present at the Smallbore Southern Nationals to qualify! They cannot be given out to anyone from Louisiana, only out-of-state individuals.
Regarding Evelio and the other Texas shooters, I hope that they will be able to make it as this may be my last hurrah before I totally retire form shooting and just run the Southern Nationals. Practice is for sissies! Just ask Massey!

Sorry Sarge, I am duly chastised!
So, since I didn't actually get to attend the 2008 Smallbore Southern Nationals, does that entry fee get rolled to 2009? I'm trying to put together my packet for air rifle and smallbore and need the budget information - wouldn't miss that harassment for the world!

You must contact Robin about your entry fee, If in fact you paid last year and did not get a refund, you will be entered for 2009 and qualify for the Early Bird bullshit!
I cannot remember due to the numbers of shooters and brain farts!

Aye Aye, Sarge!
But aren't you too young for the brain fart thing?

Be 59 in January
I'd put you in for an orange shirt for that one, but you're from LA. If you are only 59 then I am only 22, just barely legal. Ducky, my F-troop shirt was hijacked by Don's doctor in EP( he deserves it after putting up with that attitude from some one with a broken back)....not sure what the boy has packed but I can probably dig out my orange shirt.
BB, Ye of little faith, you are going to shoot better in Benton, you are getting all the bad shots out now, me, I'm only shooting my average and I hope to be able to keep that up at the match. Only because I'm tired and my eyes are blurry from pushing a 20" cut mower for 3/4 acre today (still have the back forty to do, but it still a bit damp back there) I'll come up to a 4 point per match, or 16 total. As for buying me a steak...you can discuss that one with Don, he still has a hard time getting me not to pay my own way, after 12 years. Now he has been known to front 150 for a grudge prone match with a former neighbor, that one was tough but I still walked off with a few bucks.

What I'd like some candadite to say and mean;
1) all aid to foreign countries stopped till we get our problems straight.
2) all troops home and securing our borders, not someone elses
3) Free medical and home care for all our elderly. (I take care of my 97 year old mother and they get about zip from the government)
4) off shoring of jobs is so heavly taxed we'd keep our jobs here
5) with the aid savings Gov't funding of alternate energy options and the building of hydrogen & electric charging stations nation wide
6) Term limits on all the idiots in Washington
I don't give one shit about who said this or that, campagin BS and lies, what church you go to, etc, etc.....
Give me someone with enough spine to get us out of the mess we are in and use OUR Tax dollars on US, not someone else who really doesn't want us there or give two shits about us, only our money.
There... my 2 cents
