Political parties jockeying for power are reminiscent of the bumper sticker a lot Okies had a few years back:

"Please God, just one more oil boom, and we promise not to piss it away this time."

The conservatives just did it and inevitably the liberals will too. Do enough stupid stuff to polarize moderate voters against you and you get some time on the bench to figure out what went wrong. We can't seem to help ourselves.

The problem BB is 'GREED an Corruption' which is all our politicans anymore. Till we the voters take our country back get rid of these career politicians who only look out for their own interest and pockets it will never be better.

Why is it the majority of Americans feel this same way and we still can't get rid of them and the corruption. Must be the voting booths have happy gas in them or pull the curtain and you forget what you were there to do....

259...the system that allows for continued election to the same position is what we have....people do not want to learn a new name or research new people...just vote for the name in front of them mpst of the time.

I would rather have them back in the environment that they helped create with their votes, then maybe some would think before voting.

Let me add to your list.... (Not ment to be all inclusive)
* No 100% pension after serving any amount of time
* Pay into SS like the rest of us
* No life time Medical and be subject to the same plans they voted for like the rest of us
* One, just one, instance, or appearance, of corruption and they can never hold ANY office again and are immediately ejected
* Cut off for drawing SS if your over a certain annual income (That would cover all of them)
* No raises or perks voted on by themselves, all would be a public vote
* YES... TERM LIMITS two terms maximium
* Eliminate all lobbist and their 'meetings/outings'
