I would have rather saw him in prison... they would have loved him in more ways then he could have imagined ;)

I saw a TV interview with the parents of a early 20's Jewish man who had gone back to Israel and joined the IDF(Special Forces in his case) to defend Israel against its enemies. The young man's family had been in America for many generations but he felt a strong connection to Israel. Some time later the parents were notified that their son was killed in a operation against Hamas.
The parents immediately hopped on a plane to Israel for their son's funeral. Travelling by car from their hotel to the funeral site the roads were jammed with vehicles obviously headed to the same funeral service. Finally, the parents like others had to get out of the vehicle and walk. As they were walking along with the huge mass of other mourners they expressed to each other that there must be lots of soldiers being interred at the same time with this many people attending.
When they arrived at the funeral, the parents were shocked because their son was the only one being honored even though no one really knew him because he was from America. Inquiring of the other Israeli people, they expressed that this was the typical attendance at a Israeli soldier's funeral.
We should be ashamed that America does not feel the need to honor in this manner the young soldiers who died defending our country so far away from their home and loved ones. Instead the "entertainers" no matter how perverted receive the accolades even in the case of a lethal overdose.
