I have TWO teenage girls! One at college and one at home, plus the one I married. I figure women trouble is an exponential function based on how many are in the house and over the age of 12. One might assume therefore that my troubles are reduced by a factor of 10 with the 18 out of the hours, however her mother invites her home each weekend so they can get mad at each other!

You bet I remember those dates with one sometimes two old ladies, sitting around within hearing distance. When there was only one, we just sit around, just waiting for the lady to have to use the bathroom, so we could have a short kissing section.
I can't speak for the new generation born in the States, there aren't that many around Houston, but I am pretty sure the days of the Chaperones are gone.
As far as being good cooks, I can tell you from past experience, that none of the ones I knew in Cuba, ever set foot in the kitchen, they all had full time maids that would handle all the household shores.
The ones that cook good are those that actually learned here in the States due to the circumtances.

Yes well said Evelio...one old lady and who ever else around. The date well it was more like can I get em all in the car to the Restaurant...LOL...If more were like that we sure would not have many of the problems we have today....not to mention the respect for the elders that were drilled into your head....But I have excellent job security because they do not learn that anymore at home...I know coats is a great young man hell I knew him when he was in the Hangar..lol.
