February's General Meeting advised that two of the parcels that hold the public ranges have had the annual leasing reassessed by the City.
This also brought about knowledge that the City has decided to surplus those parcels.
The club is looking at how to maintain use of the parcels but is also planning some contingencies in case the public ranges have to be brought onto the club land.
This development, coupled with the need for periodic maintenance mining of the public ranges, has the club looking at turning the Piel Range into a stop-gap 100 yd rifle range (among other things) during mining efforts.
They have asked how we could best accomplish this while maintaining some semblance of .22 matches... They displayed interest in making our target stands mobile and possibly (and I say possibly) removing the desire for the deflectors if they already raise the berms sufficiently for general rifle use.
When I learn more, it will be passed along. --M

Yes, this is a conflict with our Saturday match but we really should be making an appearance.
