Our chickens needed replacing badly. We have been hammering them monthly with HP, lever gun and occasionally IHMSA. Some were more than 20 years old. The entire flock had numerous foot pad weld repairs each. These last couple of matches put several more into the "TO BE REPAIRED" pile.

I pulled some strings and got CRC to buy us 20 new ones. A call last week to Cal Byers at Quality Targets in Illinois was made. He had 1/2" AR 500 full size birds in stock ready to ship. Got them today. Cost was $80.00 each plus $100.00 for priority shipping by USPS. Came in four cardboard boxes wrapped with ample fiberglass tape.

We will christen them this weekend.

A few solid whacks from a 7-08 and they will fry up nicely.

7 08 chickens... sounds good !! my 7mm br recipies.... Have about the same wack just a little less seasoning..

What time will you be out there on Sunday? I am pretty sure I can get clearance from the tower to leave the holding pattern around the house and go play for a bit.
