Leupold FX III 30X Update

After receiving a call from Leupold I sent two Leupold 30X scopes (3/8 MOA dot) to Leupold last Saturday to get the parallex problem fixed - I sent them next day delivery (which meant Monday) and got them back today. I mounted both on rifles and went to the range. Both scopes now focus clearly at 40 meters and out of 100 meters without a problem. I didn't try to focus them beyond 100 meters as I don't care what they do or don't do beyond 100 meters. John Snodgrass at Leupold was the gentleman I dealt with at Leupold and he was very responsbile to my problem. He was very easy to deal with and a great help. The index markings on the scope no longer apply due to the parallex being adjusted but it's not that big a deal to put a small dot at the appropriate adjustments. So now - for what it's worth - I think I have the perfect silhouette scope for my style of shooting. It may be time to retire the B&L 36X I been using.

One last post on this subject - I used a Leupold 30X in Texas and PeEll last month - no problems with the scope - tracking, focus and optics were great - anyone having questions please email me at [email protected].

John,

Thanks for the up-date. On that I want to expand a little. Any 'new' ones that are shipping from Leupold will have the A/O corrected pre-shipment and I have been told (from the same side that resolved the problem) that the A/O rings will be re-done and the distance markings will be accurate. Not to say that they will work .0001% different than the scope you have, just the the A/O marking should be correct.

And with that - Shamless plug - I do have them in stock (25X in hand and 30X avalible for drop ship)

Thanks,

Chicken
