I recently recived a barrel and it seems that they put in a standard throat when chambering...the barrel shoots good but it is a little short for the longer bullets and they seem to sit deeper than I would like. Has anyone here lenghthened the throat on a barrel after it has been chambered without any ill effects to accuracy..other wise I will just leave it.

Every gun does it - even if with no help from the owner. The more you shoot the longer/deeper it gets...

It is done with a throater reamer, it will not touch the chamber, only the throat.
