So I had the dickens of a time with my 39a last weekend due to not loosening the tension screw enought to make the up and down clicks work properly.
On of our esteemed elder statesmen advised that there was for lack of a better description a target type knob that could be retro fitted to handle this operation. Does anyone know where said gizmo could be located?

Bigfoot, you can get it the screw or knob directly from Williams, call them and tell them what you need unless somebody here can give you the part number. All you have to do when you get it is shorten the screw to fit your sight.

Bigfoot,
You need the last one called the gib lock screw, all the others are elevation screws.

I found mine on eBay - just search under "Receiver sight."
Mine works well, looks good and didn't cost too much - I think he shipped free.
Michael
I checked - he does ship free
Here is a link to his auction
