All Ammo Sold

I have some high quality 22 LR ammo for sale. All of the ammo has been kept in a very stable environment. It has all produced superior results in the rifles it's been shot out of. Each of the ammo types will be sold to only one person, no split lots, no samples.

Sold 1. Wolf Target Match:

2. ELEY STANDARD (Brown Box): 14 boxes = 700 rounds.. The ammo is from the late 1990's and is, I think, the equivelent of the new ELEY EDGE ($1,045/case plus shipping.) It has been stored in a very stable environment. It was manufactured before Eley changed their priming compound. It shot very well in my Anschutz 1712. PM me with offers for the ammo only. I'll add shipping to the offer because it will need to be shipped UPS Ground and the cost will vary depending upon where the buyer lives.

3. Sold Pending Funds Lapua MULTI MATCH: Total of 3,600 rounds. This ammo is about 12 years old and is the equivalent of the new MIDAS PLUS.....Lapua Midas Plus - Case of 97 boxes of $1,400 plus shipping. (97 boxes, damn, what a marking racket.) It shot sub-1/4 MOA out of my Anschutz Standard Rifle. The rifle was sold so now the ammo will be. The ammo was manufactured before the disastrous priming-compound change back about 10 or so years ago. For those that don't know, MULTI MATCH is downgraded Midas, when Midas was top-of-the-line. This is a super lot. I originally purchased 3 cases, this is what remains. PM me with offers for the ammo only. I'll add shipping to the offer because it will need to be shipped UPS Ground and the cost will vary depending upon where the buyer lives.

Please, no lowball offers.

Please note, I've added some equivalent pricing, for the old ammo, to the original post for the ELEY and Lapua ammo due to ridiculous lowball offers. By the way, the best 22LR match ammo I've ever tested was 10-year-old RWS; testing done in 1997. Don't think for a second that the newer ammo is better. The advertizing has gotten way slicker and more full of caca de torro, that's all....New and Improved Tide...just the printing on the box is new and improved. As a matter of fact, from my testing, old 22LR ammo can be much better than the "New & Improved" versions...but the advertizing sure is "New & Improved."

Guys,

I've been corresponding with a number of guys about the ammo I've put up for sale. The ammo question, with regard to 22LR match ammo, is quite complected as to what ammo will shoot well in a particular rifle. Below is part of an email I sent to a friend. It gets to the heart of the complexity.

===================================================================

As a semiconductor, manufacturing engineer, what I'm about to say is important. Lot-to-lot variation, of a brand of 22LR match ammo, is large and can have a substantial effect on how a lot of ammo shoots in a particular rifle. Also, chamber design has a tremendous effect on how any particular ammo shoots. So, asking others how a particular brand of ammo shoots in their rifle is often not helpful; and, can lead to erroneous conclusions.

As with BPCR chambers, design makes a BIG difference with regard to how a particular round will shoot. Also, a lot of shooters have fouled and/or bad barrels; yet two more variables that can have a huge effect on how any particular 22LR ammo shoots in a rifle.

I guess I'm trying to say, it often does not matter what anyone else says about a particular brand of ammo. You must do the testing yourself and learn how to make sure the barrel is clean, not an easy thing, given the 22LR barrels I've looked down with a 25X borescope over the past 9 years.

I wish it was simple, but it just is not.

Dan instead of doing all the haggling why don't you just figure out what you want to sell if for and post a price? Ammo of all things at this moment is all over the place in price. You know what you spent for it and what it costs now so calculate a price post it and I am sure it will sell. If it doesn't sell then redo your calculation using smaller numbers :lol:
