I know this is a gun forum but it seems like gun people are the only ones I trust anymore. I need a good compound bow for hunting this fall. I am Right Handed and need a 29 or 30 inch draw. I haven't had one since 1980.

I don't have one for sale, but purchased a Hoyt Rampage last fall. Under $500, with a $50 rebate. So far I love it.

Thanks Chuck.I have been talking to everyone I can about a new bow. A lot of things have changed since 1980 when I owned my last compound.

Glen, do you have a brand preference and a price point? There are a TON of archery hunters down here in the south. I can keep my eye out for ya if I know a little more of what you are looking for.
Earlier this year I was able to pick up a 2012 Hoyt "Vector 32" on closeout for $500 which saved me about $350! Of course I went on to spend another grand on parts, arrows and targets for the backyard.

The compounds of 1980 are primitive compared to current issue. The new are lighter, faster with higher percentage of letoff, and much more forgiving to shoot. They are awesome.
