News Flash!
New arrivals to the state of Tasmania lower the average IQ of the otherwise highly intelligent population of Tasmania.
A new report in today revealed that a group of mainland silhouette competitors breached the border and have infiltrated the lovely state of Tasmania to compete at the Scoped and Cowboy State Silhouette Titles in the coming weekends. Among them are known criminals, chocolate thieves, squatters, poachers, drunkards, illegal immigrants, ram fondlers and misfits. Local competitors are advised to keep valuables, equipment and daughters in a safe place and to double check all scores submitted by the mainlanders. They have a distinct tendency to over counts scores, often claiming scores of 11/10 targets on chickens and pigs and miscalculations on score totals with a distinct bias to "adding" points. In addition there are reports of planned poaching activities in the north of the state where the travellers intend to fish for the highly prize Tasmanian Tactical Trout.
Authorities have been warned and are keeping a close eye on the invaders to ensure they leave the state in a timely manner and will undergo a full pat down search upon departure. Police will be particularly vigilant to ensure no plaques or medals/trophies will be on the travellers as clearly they will have been gained by dubious means. Prime Minister Gillard released reports on the governments efforts to crack down on criminal gang activity, of which the notorious Ram Slammers are the main target of the legislation. It has been suggested that a number of the travellers may be members of the notorious group. Locals are advised not to approach the travellers as they may possibly be armed.
Below: Several members of the Ramslammers enter the state of Tasmania

ooops looks like we slipped out with all your plaques and medals!!!!

The tasmanian contingent were last seen with tears in their eyes

(possibly because they eat too much chicken and the hormones are turning them into women)
All in all it was a good shoot, just a shame there was so much rain and we needed leons boat to set targets

G'Day
Don't care what anyone says I won with a perfect one for one on the bench. Too bad they didn't try to take the Tiger Snake that was in the R/O's shed on Friday. Could of sorted them out.

G'day from the Game Ranch
Far from lowering the local I.Q. I believe it goes up immeasurably every time a boat from the mainland gets in. ( Even counting the Victorians )
The above photo posted by Shandy is actually one of the winner and runner up in the Miss Tasmania Beauty Pageant!
No wonder they go after their sisters.
A warning to any of our Northern Hemisphere Brothers who may be contemplating a visit, they do things different on the "little island"
The rule book only applies to visitors and if you complain , they take pot shots at you while you're out standing targets.
You have been warned.

G'day Folks
No toad that's not what I meant. Don't know what the story was by the time it got to you, but:
The alternative rules seemed only to apply to the "locals"', i.e. Turn up an hour after the advertised start time,
all others have to stop shooting so you can catch up and it's o.k to get as much support using the bench as you can.
Then after someone puts in a protest, leave as soon as you can so that rule 2.7.7.1 can be invoked in your defense. Which only happened because rule 2.7.6 was not followed.
And the " local " method of clearing a firearm by
cycling the action and pulling the trigger during a cease-fire is a bit of a worry when you are out standing targets!
Aside from those incidents, we had a great time and it was great to catch up with you and the other "Southern Brothers". ( and win some ram money

)

Don't worry Taps, we only shoot at the non-locals when setting targets. We do that to stop them hard setting the rams
Oh wait that means you

hi all
wow a good old fashion shit stir

and i missed it and no one told me about it i feel hurt and left out
after giving the chairman the rubber hose and bright light treatment i got the story.
all i can say is every dog has his day. if any tasy locals turn up to rancon springs
except me the it would be fair game to take a pot shot or 3 at them remove all
benches for leaning on and then see how they fair

G'day
Toad, unlike some who reside on the "small island", I can read and believe me the rule book will be strictly adhered to at Rankins Springs. NO " Hairy " allowances!
Also, having been on the receiving end of badly set targets on more than one occasion Doc, I am the last person you should accuse of such a deed.
Three gold, one bronze and Ram money, like I said, really enjoyed the trip!!!

Not accusing Taps, just making the general statement as no matter how many times you say it, people still manage to hard set those rams.
If I drove my 30-30 like the Johnson's

it probably wouldn't matter, but I've rung my share of rams.
Looking forward to shooting my 38-55 in Rankins

Hey Outback.
The Pom has your MVA front sight. You should be able to catch him and get it off him, he's not that fast
Thanks mate, but just too fine for my eyes.
