If you all wouldn't mind telling me, how many of you use fixed optics vs variables when shooting Rimfire Silo. In either case whats your choice of magnification ?
Regards & Thanks
PS: This same thread was put in Scopes & Rings, with no answers, thought I would try it in this venue.

I started out with a fixed 10x and later a fixed 12x. It was (and still kinda is) plenty of power for me.

15x is adequate for me, but 24x is better.

Fixed 24 power weaver t24. Tried variable but found I always left the power to max 24 so why not just get a fixed power scope.

I use a fixed B&L 36X with a 3/8 MOA dot - works for me but I didn't start out with it. Best of luck with your shooting.

My wife uses a Wever T36 and I use a Variable, estimate it to be between 26 and 30 power.

I have a 18 to 40 Thomas bumped scope with a big dot but shoot it at about 30 to 35 most of the time.

I still shoot a bsa 6-24x40, started out on about 12x and moved right on up to 24x, looking to get a fixed 24x soon.
