I have found a Teddy Roosevelt and a Canadian commeritave models for sale. I had a Canadian, that shot great. I am thinking the Teddy because of teh pistol grip. Both are 26" barrels, 30-30, and in nice shape.

Any thoughts on which would be better for silhouette?

All being the same... I prefer the pistol grip if I could get one. Most of mine are the straight, but I like the feel of the pistol grip a lot better and if I was doing it again would get a model with the pistol grip. It's more personal preference in what you feel more comfortable with.

I have a Canadian and it is a good shooter. All things being equal, I prefer a pistol grip. Seems the one that feels the best for you is the correct choice.

I have found that holding a straight grip stock with only two fingers in the lever and your little finger under
the lever that your hand is at a similar angle to that when holding a pistol grip style stock. I shoot a 39a with
a pistol grip for smallbore, 94 win straight stocks for both pistol cal and rifle and this method works for me.
