Good news for Party!

Dear friends and even foes,

The good news for the end of the year is that we have met our entry numbers for the Southern Nationals NRA Non-shooting Party. We do not care if we get anymore entries as that will mean more prizes for fewer people and the beer will last longer!

On a serious note, if you want to attend and shoot, then contact Dustin Flint as he is the Match Director for the 23rd Southern Nationals. I understand that he has planned a great match and Motl will again be running the Air Rifle competition.

You can contact Dustin via PM on this site or me if you have any questions. The total cost of both the Party and the Matches will be less than any Southern Nationals fees in several years! We will also have the vendors on site selling ammo and other products.

Be looking for a complete program to be posted here after January.

I also welcome any replies on this post as I miss hearing from Innocent and Kitty and the other usual suspects in Grand Larceny of shooting prizes!

This is great news! I haven't even sent in my entry yet; the check has been sitting on my desk for a month!

Well, the match is on! The matches will be the same as in years past with the Standard rifle match(es) on Saturday and the Hunter rifle match(es) on Sunday. Also, the Coon Ass Challenge on Friday evening is a go.

One suggestion that I've recieved from a few shooters is a single 60-shot match on each day instead of two 4-shot matches each day. The concern from those shooters is getting out of town on Sunday evening at a reasonable time although I don't believe that will be an issue this year because we plan to have a VERY short awards presentation after the match on Sunday.

This is going to be a great weekend as usual. Anyone with questions about the match please email me at dustinflint AT yahoo DOT com.

Dustin
