need some local matches to go to

Any one have any suggestion for local matches in the general Maryland area (live just south of Annapolis). I told Susan that I was never going to a match again without a rifle and since I am going to be going to Ridgeway and Winnsboro this year (2013) I need to qualify or something like that she said so my class can be set (I dont want to shoot against her or Mallory in Master...yet). I need to shoot both hunter and standard.

There is a range over in Cumberland that holds matches but they are on Thursday nights, for those of us that work that is next to impossible to drive 3 hours (on a good day) to get there. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Dan

Ahh... now we know who you are, Dan. Welcome!

I'm sure JJP or someone else closer to you there on the east side of the country might know a bit more about it, but here's a page with lists of silhouette match locations.

http://www.riflesilhouette.com/information/ranges.html

There looks to be one in Sudlersville, which should be around an hour, or possibly a little less, away from you. Make Susan find you a place to shoot silhouette locally if she's going to drag you all over the country doing it. :)

He is making quite the sacrifice by starting to actually shoot at the ranges now...he has to wait until the shooting is over to start drinking beer!!

He wants to shoot...then we will shoot!!!! I'll help him as much as I can, or pawn him off on others. But I might just stick to having Joe Coogan teach me how to shoot a shot gun :D

I am not sure hunny if you have ever sat through an entire weekend of not shooting. I dont care if I go 0 for 40, I am not pretty enough to be arm candy at your weekend get-a-ways.

Now I gotta buy a gun, hers has cooties. :D

Awww come on Dan, I don't mind watching you be her arm candy. But you will have more fun if you shoot. See you in Jacksonville in March 2013 for FL states?

All Santa has for me is coal and maybe a beer!

@Mary
Why do you think I wore all those low cut shirts and high cut shorts around you!
I dont think march will work for me, Spring is really rough as it is with SHOT, Winter Range, NRA, Catalogs, and all the other planning for the year. However if Susan can get the time off, Ill ship her off to where ever her little heart desires.

Dan,

Cavalier has matches on the 3rd Sat @ month. You just missed it yesterday (sorry, just noticed your post today).

Info (directions on another page): http://www.cavrpc.org/Small_Bore_Rifle_Silhouette.htm

Drive down 301 to I-95, then across to the range. Should be 90 minute drive (more the first time). Not a bad drive. I frequent MD for shoots (Annapolis for 10M AP, and to Frederick for FT-AR).

On this site is 'boats' and he's our MD, email him and you'll be on our mailing list. PM me for any Q's (note: I'm not on here but maybe weekly).

Chuck
