A friend of mine uses one in pistol caliber matches. It is accurate and has a good balence for shooting offhand. It will not feed ammo if you load more than one in the magazine though. This seems to be a common problem for 94 actions in pistol caliber.

G'day from the Game Ranch,
All my Winchesters feed just fine, perhaps someone should check their O.A.L on loaded rounds.
'94's chambered in pistol calibers tend to have short stops on the the loading ramp. Some careful work with a file to take the stop back
will allow longer O.A.L rounds. Remember it is the same action whether it's chambered for 44mag or 38-55.
