Dave Bonner, Aurora, CO swept all 4 rifle divisions with scores of: 97/SB, 98/SBH, 55/HP & 53/HPH. Tyler Kamp, Daniel, WY was high resident in each division with scores of: 92/SB, 97/SBH, 54/HP, & 47/HPH. The SB matches were 2x60 and 2x40 for HP. Bonner has won the WY 4 Gun aggregate for the last 4 years. High lady was Geri Snyder with Steve Hawks and Bob Snyder splitting the high senior awards. The weather was slightly overcast on Sat and bright sun for Sunday; temps from 60 to 90; bumpy, twitchy breezes in the afternoons. Congratulations on the HP long pig runs : Tyler went 15 and Dave went 14. Tyler cleaned the SB pigs in both 60's but elected not to continue the long run. The full report can be found on lvsa.info. Just so you all know the real Ironman of the Wyo State Match was Roger Sebesta. He single handed puts on this match and has for several years. He is so buisy he hardley ever shoots. I don't think I ever went to matches that had just one person do so very much. Her here in Wyoming and Lander we owe Roger a lot. He is one of the people that keep the shooting sport alive. I thank you.

That’s very true and well stated Tom. Silhouette is dead in Wyoming except for Lander and the only reason it’s still going in Lander is Roger.

Your right, Roger goes all out to accomidate and make the match worth the 365 mile drive each year. It was just four or five years ago I was the only non resident competitor to attend the WY state HP match before he combined it with the SB state. That year there was only four shooters for the match. That evening over steak and beers at the Hitching Rack the five of us (my wife,too) came to the conclusion that combining HP with the better attended state SB was the only way WY HP was going to survive.

There was a little bitching among the traveling shooters I know over this decision. But they came up any way to shoot both. Attendance was very good at first but this format caused the marathon match to go on till sunset. The attendance has since been tapering off some, but this time it was a disappointing only 8-9 shooters. We will continue to support this match as long as he is willing to host it.
