I have a Leupold M8 6x that came with a silhouette rifle I bought. I have been doing research on the M8 series and have found that they made the 6x42mm and 6x36mm. On my scope it just says M8 6x on it without the mm. Anytime I find info on that series it does not list that option. I'd like to find out what its worth, anybody know what I'v got?

What is the diameter of the objective lens on yours? Either way, it's a Leupold so you have a good scope (maybe not the best for silhouette but there are always other applications) with the best gaurantee in the biz.

Hey alleyjodi,
If you measure the objective end of the scope it should measure to one of these:
36mm = 1.417" (or just below 1.5" if you don't have calipers)
42mm = 1.654" (or just above 1.5")
Maybe this will help.

Better idea---bring it out and shoot silhouette with it on that Anschutz. Best wishes R
