2013 Southern National NRA Non-shooting Reunion Party update

We have now finished sending out all the thank you letters and gifts to our sponsors so Jerry, Robin and I are ready to plan the Party for 2013!
We have 17 pre-paid entries as of today and will have to have a minimum of 50 individuals paid by December 31, 2012 in order for us to secure state funding so that we will be able to solicit our usual National and Local sponsors to make this event more fun. Jerry and I are planning on meeting with the principal individuals that are planning on hosting a match at Winnsboro Gun Club at the same time as the party. As soon as we can get their plans and details of their matches, we will post not only the details but an online program with entry forms.
Preliminary plans for the Party are that you do NOT have to shoot in any of the matches to qualify for the prizes that we secure for the party. If you do shoot in the match but do NOT pay for the party, you will not qualify for the prizes. We will have several types of drawings during the weekend and will also have a chili and gumbo cook-off on Saturday afternoon and night. We will have meal on Friday night as well as the usual Budweiser wagon and Blue Bunny ice cream for the weekend. We will not offer any breakfast meals but will have a hamburger lunch on Saturday. I am sure that the fees for any of the matches will be much lower than in the past and also offer some type of meals since Tureau is involved and can cook up a mean gumbo!
Be sure and keep an eye on this forum and we will have the details posted within a month or two so that everyone can make plans to attend.
Just look for Jerry and I to have a more relaxed time and only drink beer and sit under a tent all weekend! I am sure that we will have plenty of company!
