I know you said a 1952 39A but perhaps this would work? It's a hammer for the current production 39A and perhaps can be modified if necessary???

Lee's generally either has or can find almost anything.
You may -- probably will -- have trouble getting them on the phone...keep trying.

Almost always one listed on ebay.

Thanks for all responses. Problem solved! I found an old 39A that could best be described as a "parts" gun. Switched the hammers and we're good to go!
