I am looking for recommendations for an inch pound torque wrench costing less than $100.00. Would I be getting a good one at under $100.00. I had to tighten up the replacement trigger to get it back to 2lb, 1oz. and friend torqued both screws to 22lbs on my 452, .22LR, American. I am working with 22 lbs first and work up to 26lbs and want my own Torque wrench. My .22 is not bedded. It was to darn windy yesterday to go out to the range for group size at 22 inch lb setting. I know what it will do at factory setting of 25 inch pounds. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I bought a Gehmann torque wrench from ISS a few years ago. I paid about $50. Champion Shooters has them listed at $55.00.

One caveat: The Gehmann torque wrenches use 5/16" drive hex bits, rather than the 1/4" hex bits commonly found. Mine came with 5mm, 4mm, 3mm and 2mm bits, in addition to a 3/16" bit common to many American socked hex head screws. No blade bits.

I went with Neiko Pro Grade 1/4 inch, 10-50 inch pounds. ordered on Amazon $59.45 shipped. Wiha S28506 was close at $84.00 at ALL-Spec.

I have this Wiha also and have been very happy with it.

I have one by Borka Tools. Best little tool that i have found yet. Its so useful that my Gunsmith actually wants one for his shop.
