Anyone have any experience / review for this scope for Silhouette shooting?
Bushnell Elite 6500 1.25-8x 32mm Riflescope, Matte , Multi-X 651832M F
Presently using a Leupold 6.5-20 (never take it off 20), thinking a stronger magnification for 100 meters would be handy.

The scope you quoted has a maximum magnification of 8X. The 32 number is the objective diameter. That being said Bushnell premium scopes are excellent. I have a LNIB model 4200 8x32 with40mm objective I am going to sell. I also have the 8x32 with a 1 moa dot that needs a new home. You can send a PM if you are interested.

Go with the 8-32x 4200 Elite. I have them on all 5 of my rifles with the exception of my High Power rig and that only has a Leupold FX3 30x on it because I couldn't make weight with the Bushnell. For the money they are the best scope out there IMO. You will be amazed at how much bigger they look at 32X compared to 20x. I also use a booster lens on mine to get them up to around 38x or so.

Scopes are usually listed with the magnification first IE 8-32x and then then Objective Size which is 40mm on the 8-32x. They also list the size of the tube which will usually be 1" but can be 30mm as well so take that into account when looking at scope specs as well.

That is easy Chere, reduce the magnification of your scope and they will not run around as fast.

Yes they do pick up speed when you make them bigger :-o but if you can tame the shaking shrew and get it under control it's very nice and then when you shoot someone's 24x they look to be almost standing still. Not!
