I'm waiting to hear back from a friend of mine that knows weather or not that trigger will fit a 54 sporter action, I should hear from him whithin the next couple of hours.

Thanks for the update-I'm 99.9% sure that it will only fit 1700 series guns, not the earlier ones.

Yea, I just got off the phone with him, there completely different, I know I'll regret it sometime down the road but I'll pass on the trigger for now. You won't have any trouble selling it at that price, probably be gone by the end of the day.

Hey Camster, is this the weight adjustable trigger or fixed weight? I'm interested in mounting it on my 1710 Hunter...

It is weight adjustable, though I am certainly not an expert on these triggers-I actually haven't used one.Others here can jump in with their opinion,if they would be so kind..I bought a new single stage trigger for this action,as I have them custom stocked as fancy sporters and just prefer the look of the single stage on a pricey gun..The first stage is a very light constant weight,I believe-the second stage has the same trigger pull screw adjustment as the 1710 trigger, with the same ability to swap out the trigger spring.

That trigger is fully adjustable, and will drop right in on your 1710.
