Headed to my first f-class match this morning. Hope this doesn't throw off my standing game! There is no HP silhouette in Georgia and I need to sling some lead down range!

They shot high power in brunswick but it stopped wish they would get it going again so we can have a place down south.....even Jacksonville shot a reduced 200 yard one but they no longer do......some one down south needs to start it up again.

There is heavy rumor that River Bend Gun Club (where I shot F-class today) has purchased the HP silhouette targets and they are trying to get it started. There are some logistical issues holding it up evidently. I hope they figure it out.

Well, F-class is no where near as exciting at metallic silhouette. It was fun, but also a little... boring. I guess I just like the CLANG of steel. I shot my factory Savage LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor. Scope is a 10-50x60mm Sightron. We shot 3x600yd and if I remember my scores correctly I shot a 189/200 2x, then a 197/200 3x and then fell apart on the third and shot a 184/200 with no Xs. Wind was switching and anywhere from 5 to 12 mph. There were 45 competitors total with about 15 of us shooting f-class. The others were shooting Service Rifle. I had a lot of fun but I won't be leaving Silhouette any time soon. A big shout-out to the guys at River Bend Gun Club. They run a nice match and super friendly.

That would be nice.....got the rifle put together now they only thing holding me back is a stock...

Hmmm, In a position on your stomach with your rear up in the air, one would have thought that after leaving Colo. you would have tired of that position.

Come on now JB, you know you are looking forward to the "Colorado Tripod" next month when the crew shows up from CO.

It is very disturbing that a thought like that would enter your mind, but then again, consider the source.

I thought F-TR class should be shot with .308 or .223 only. I guess I was wrong.

Nope, yo are totally correct. F-class "T/R" is .223 and .308 only. I was shooting in f-class "Open". I was up against some mighty nice open class rifles and nice front rests. I made due with my factory rifle on a bipod and had fun. Was cool to check out some of the higher dollar stuff. Really though f-class open is just prone benchrest.

In that case 1000 pardons, I ask!

JB, I think Kevin was just trying to join in the fun. He is another one of us sick Colorado silhouetters. He is possibly the sickest of the bunch!
