Anyone have one an Anschutz 1416D HB w/Beavertail and know if it will qualify for Hunter Class? I have read the forearm can't be any wider then 2 1/4". They have a classic stock version, but it is awfully light... Around 5.5lbs. Also does the barrel have a taper? Thanks for any info.

The one I had with a beavertail fore piece would have been to wide for hunter.

Just measured my 1416 HB stock (for sale in classifieds) and it is no wider than 2.140 at any point. If the rule really says 2.25" then this would meet that parameter. Tom

I have a 1416D Beavertail HB 22LR signed by Dieter Anschutz and the book is signed by him as well. Rifle is new, but no box. This rifle was an Anschutz display rifle making its last appearance at the 2008 Shot Show before being signed by Mr. Anschutz at the Merkle plant when he annunced his retirement. I will be happy to send pictures if you are interested.
