Just got back from the Bench Rest Rifle Club Silhouette match today had a blast. Shot the Kidd rifle in Standard rifle shot 20/40 and 18/40 rifle did well shooter so so. Won A class but I may have been the only A shooter I did not check we had 3 relays and shot two 40rd matches. We also shot the Cowboy Silhouette match after the regular match just 40 rds. I shot the Henry it was flawless shot 21/40 there were five people shooting originally but my rifle was the only one to finish the match so I won that also. I think I was way ahead anyway this time. Rifle shot great, I am not sure if we are using the right targets for the match at this time but it is not a registered match yet at our club however it is loads of fun. As long as I did my part the targets fell. I got 8 turkeys and 7 pigs. Match was held at the Bench Rest Rifle Club in Wright City Missouri about 45 miles west of St. Louis Missouri. For this match I just used the Williams receiver sight and the stock front sight on the Henry H001T.

Sounds good Shane. I couldn't make it out to BRC yesterday due to kids' basketball responsibilities, but I'm looking forward to the March matches. That format sounds good, too (2 x 40 round matches for the standard or hunter guns, and a single 40 round match for the Cowboy). What happened to the other guns that kept them from finishing the matches?

I'm planning to show up with a Marlin model 60, and hopefully a reciever sight for the March matches. I know that's not really a traditional "Cowboy" setup, but it fits the rulebook and fits my current budget.

If I remember correctly, I heard some talk that the BRC targets were not the correct size. I think they are actually smaller than the regulation targets. I think that BRC's animals are 3/8 scale, and they are supposed to be 1/2 scale.
