Starter Scope

I think I'm going to try SB again. Got a 452 American coming. I've also got a Swift AO I can use for awhile, but it has a Mil-Dot reticle that's very thick. I would like to get something else. Thinking about a Weaver V Series, but that's a little more than I want to spend. Any recommendations in the $200-$250 range?

Thanks,

Tancred

There's no need to reply. I was able to find info lower in the forum. Should have looked first.

I'm sorry....in a nutshell you get what you pay for. You can have a starter rifle or a starter trigger, but you can never have a starter scope. I know it stinks but save your money and buy a quality scope. You'll only get disgusted and throw the cheapie away. They don't track well, clarity isn't there and they aren't worth it. For the occassional shooter they're bearly ok, but when you're constantly changing settings like in silohuette its not a good idea. Do yourself a favor, save, and buy a Luepold or a Bausch and Lomb.
