Well looks like I stepped off to the Darkside today with a score on the last Kreiger 6.5 barrel Midway had in stock. So I am either committed to building the HP rifle now or I have a shiny new 27" club. I was thinking that I would have to wait the longest to get a barrel from Kreiger but now I am waiting to get a Pharr stock to put it in.

Even found a promo code and got $25 off my order which covered another 100 rounds of Speer for my enabler to reload for me to practice a bit before Zwolle.

Amazing the wait times for some of these barrel makers. Kreiger is 18 weeks or more, Bartlein is 8 months to over a year. I think you can get a Lilja in a reasonable 8-10 weeks! So the waiting has officially began

I had to wait a long time for my Farr. Not so long for my McMillan. The longest wait was the gun mechanic to reem the chamber and put threads on the bbl.

6.5 by 47 or 260 are great choices. 6.5 x 55 would also be a good choice. There are some other 6.5s out there but................ ya gotta make the brass.

I saw that barrel when haunting Midways clearance sale and thought it was a good buy. Good luck with Robertsons. They pretty much suck and you can't believe a word they tell you about delivery.

I am hoping they are at least somewhat close in their estimate for a lead time Innocent. Not to worried as it is the stock I want nothing else will suffice and I am not in that big a rush. Evelio will have everything waiting for him to get the stock at least after I bring the barrel and Rem 700 to him in a couple weeks for the Texas Nationals. Then the waiting will really begin.
