The saying " Shoot like a girl" has been changed to " Shoot like a mom".
Cathy Winstead is the only name you need to know. Gabriel V put up a fight today, but it wasn't enough. The really bad news is, Rachel can walk now, not much longer until she can hold a rifle and we're toast.
Thank you David, Jerry, Robin, Melissa, et al for all you do. We had a great time. I understand there is talk about enclosing the range and putting in air conditioning next year.

I just returned and it was a very good match. Cathy shot like Cathy shoots go figure
It was great being between Gabriel and Tureau on the line all weekend and actually managing to hang with them both on a couple of animals as least

Hell I think that made the match for me most of all as it shows me my work and practice are paying off. Each year I average a better score at Winnie so moving in the right direction. Of course at the rate I am moving I will be a senior shooter before I am up to the top flight shooters abilities

But I got 20 years to go before that yet.
I wish this was at least a bi-annual match I enjoy shooting in Winnie so much. Plus it is only a couple hours away
Thanks to all that put it on again this year. Looking forward to next year already.
Just wish some of the more experienced shooters would have emphasized the importance of sand bagging when I first started

Just kidding of course I always try my best.
Now to go stand under the overpass with a "will shoot for money" sign to try and get donations to go to the Nationals. Oh wait a second something tells me that particular wording might be misconstrued

I put the link to the full sized pic and you can zoom a little but I know they are hard to see. Thats the problem with camera phones they don't really show how good a picture came out till its on a full sized screen. I am sure others with the super nice dig cams will have better ones soon to show.

Thanks to Robert Brown for posting the results on our site. He is our internet guru!
It was a great match (although a little smaller due to the economy and the dumbass in the White House) and a enjoyable to run. Winnsboro Gun Club may be small with less than 40 members, but we have loyal and great members that work to make this match run smoothly. John McLemore did a fabulous job calling the matches and the First United Methodist Church Youth did another superb job in setting the targets in record time.
We will have 2012 entry forms up shortly on our web site.
