Ref: liquid film dip coating
Can anyone recommend a vendor who does this process on rifle stocks.

I visited with Mark Pharr in Ridgeway this year concerning the dipped stocks. He is, I believe, in the know. He had one that he was putting on a gun for his son, I think and it had an amazingly realistic camo look and a great tactile feel. Don't have his number at hand, but I'll bet someone can jump in here with it.

Here's the picture of his son's stock that Mark mailed out a while back. It's pretty snazzy looking. I'm thinking of building up a rifle for hunting that I can also use for highpower silhouette on the rare occasion that I get the chance and getting it camo dipped.

Does anyone have information about how this process is performed? The results look fantastic in the amount of detail.

Great start with some info but does anyone have a vendor.

The process as I understand it consist of floating the film in a water or some kind of fluid bath and than inserting the stock. The film than comforms to the stock shape.
It's a similiar process to the large decals you see on buses and trucks except that's done with a heating device.

Thank you very much for the link. That is some amazing technology. And they are right here in my home state of MO. The camo patterns, carbon fiber, wood prints, american flags, 100 dollar bills, etc. have my mind racing.
How about those "Kings of Bling". I'll bet there are some wild things that could be done with that process. At $89 for a rifle stock, it seems like a reasonable price.

I think it would be hard to beat a stock covered with hundred dollar bills in a "bring the bling" contest.

Sounds like its a good thing that there are around 3 1/2 months until Jacksonville....

No problem, if you look back at pictures of my rifle it is red, white, and blue. Do you think the flag pattern would do the trick?
