Does anyone recommend loading the magazine with #4-6 plastic drywall anchors for dry firing?

What is wrong with using empty brass? It's cheep enough.

Nothing. If the plastic anchors work, will be less time consuming and easier to pick up..etc. Reinsert in magazine and start all over with five shot rather than jimmy in a shell casing after each shot.

On RimfireCentral I have read that CZ say it's ok to dry fire a 452, as the fireing pin won't hit anything. Others say they won't dry fire any gun .

I wrote CZ this morning and waiting reply.

No need to eject shell after your shot. Bring the bolt up and down w/o ejecting and you are good to go for another "shot".

Matt Hunter of CZ usa emailed me back and said, the 452 is completely safe to dry fire. he got back to me right away.

I will go ahead and dry fire since Matt at CZ replied and said it was okay per his reply yesterday. Sure less muss and fuss with my fumble fingers trying to push in an empty casing everytime. Perhaps with more patience/practice, inserting an empty casing becomes easier. I might try the 4-6 plastic drywall anchors too. I bought some the other day. I appreciate the comments! If your trying to cock your bolt you just have to go up and down. You dont have to go back. By doing this the bullet doesnt come out too.

You need to dry fire. If the pin has a shoulder that stops it before it slams the edge of the barrel it's not a problem. Dry firing reputation was mostly made with guns that had floating pins with no stop like a Marlin 39A

I keep a few spares for my competiton guns. If they break I can fix them. Firing parts pins springs etc are good spares to have.
