Anybody need a Leupold pistol scope? How about a Bushnell Elite pistol scope?

I'm curious to know - what is the "flop"? Is this a newer position for shooting pistol silhouette?

I am thinking he is talking about what I used to call the dead frog. Cross your legs while sitting and lay back, if right handed shoot with the gun on top of you right leg at the knee and you hand at your hip or thigh depending on the gun.

The 'flop' is a position created I believe by Jim Fields in Oklahoma, so it's often referred to as the 'Field's Flop'. You lay on your belly, support the front of the pistol with the wrist on your left hand. In this position you have to modify your pistol grip by shortening it so that the little finger on your right hand goes under the grip because no part of the gun can touch the ground. You lay your right check on the stock right behind the bolt and actually sight with your left eye. The two greatest benefits of this position in my opinion are the fact that you can use rifle scopes and secondly you aren't crunched up in the 'creedmore position'. One of the great motivations for the creation of this position is deteriorating eyesight.
In the big bore silhouette class it requires a very aggressive muzzle break!
Since Jim Fields began shooting from this position he has put up a huge number of perfect scores.
I just got setup for this position with an XP-100 with a custom made rear-grip stock in 6BR caliber and topped with a Weaver T-36x scope. I also custom made a rear-grip stock for an Anschutz pistol to shoot in the 22LR class. I just finished getting my sight settings at the silhouette range today! I can feel my first perfect 40/40 score coming on!

Thanks for the description Proclaim. I figured that it had to be some kind of position which got the shooter's face closer to the pistol, since you are getting rid of the pistol scopes and presumably switching to rifle scopes.
