I'm looking for an article that I think used to be on the Steelchickens site about a series of drills to improve hold.

I can't find the article anymore, and don't remember who wrote it. It was about shooting at paper targets of circles, trying to hold and shoot within each circle. The circles got smaller as your hold improves. Sorry I don't remember more about the article, but hopefully this will jog someone's memory.

Hi Steve

I remember that Drill you you mention. It is just as you describe. I use the drill myself but changed it up a bit.

I put actual size animal targets on paper then shoot rams @ 40m until I can hit 100 % then go to Pigs still at 40m , then turkeys, Soon you will be at The chickens... from there Move out to 50 or 60m and start where you can hit 100 %.....
have fun improving your hold

That's the one, Jason. Thank You.

I'm spending some quality time with my air rifle in the basement, and want to put the time to good use.

I have found out you can work on your trigger control by dry firing into a blank wall. You need to do it about a dozen times to get the 'no jerk' into your muscle memory. Another thing to try is called 'quiet eye'. Look it up on the net. :-bd

This is very good advice Jerry, I wish I had heard of "quiet eye" a long time ago. Thank you Jerry
