Ring Height

I am new to all of this crazyness and need a little advise. The first time I printed out correct sized targets (about a month ago) I had had to measure twice to make sure they were correct. I then sat back and scratched my head. Are they serious, these things are tiny? Offhand??? I got out and hit a few and loved it.
I am wanting to shoot in the hunter class. I have ordered a CZ 452 American that i am setting up as my dedicated silhouette rifle. I have a Leupold VX-III 6.5-20X40 on the way also. My question is about the rings. I have set up many rifles and always have been concerned with getting the scope as close to the barrel as I could without touching. In silhouette it seems most want as high as legal, 1.5" or 2" depending on class.
As I stated, for hunter class, what are my options for the 452? The BLK rings have been mentioned, I am not crazy about the looks of them. I have several rifles with Burris Signature Zee's and several with Leupold rings and like both. Do I go with the highs? How about a one peice base Weaver conversion and get whatever I like. The 3/8" base of the 452 seems to limit my choices. Thank you for your help!
