Hello everyone,
I'd like to let everyone know that we are about to begin our 2011 season at Magic City Gun Club just north of Birmingham,AL. I look forward to having all of those shooters that came to support us and enjoy the matches last year back again and hope to meet many new shooters as well.
Our matches will be on the second saturday of the month beginning the 12th of february and continuing through October. We begin the matches at 9 am central time and have a mandatory safety meeting at 8:45 that all shooters must attend. We shoot 2 40 shot matches beginning with standard rifle followed by hunter rifle. NRA score books will be available for purchase at the matches for a cost of $13 each. All shooters that are currently classified must provide their 2010 scorebook ( or last year you participated in smallbore rifle) upon purchase of a new book to retain your classification. New shooters will be classified according to NRA rules.
If you or someone you know is not sure about the match or equipment rules, please bring them with you. All i require is that shooters follow safety rules and have a safe and functional 22 rifle chambered in 22 long rifle caliber. I allow new shooters to shoot in their first match without purchasing a Scorebook. Please remember that any shooter without a current NRA scorebook and anyone shooting nonconforming equipment will be placed in a separate class which can shoot, but cannot win any of the NRA classification awards for the match.
Please let me know if you are interested in shooting or need more info.
thanks again,
