My Darling wife gave me a set of air rifle targets for Christmas from this company http://www.steelplinkers.com/.

I live in a very rural area on an acreage and wanted to practice for CLA. I found a benjamin .22 pellet rifle at Academy for $130.00 . I placed the Targets on long golf tees in the yard out to 20 yards. I can stand in the house ( by the heater) and shoot targets. I even tried it in the dark using the porchlight to see! I'm ordering a crossman peep sight today and I think I'll be in business. There's just something about hitting one of those tiny rams at 20 yards that just makes me giggle!! One pump for chickens and two pumps for everything else. Cheap and fun practice on a dark/cold day.

Sounds like you're in the early stages of 'Cabin Fever' . We have a winter smallbore indoor league that seems to ward off some of the symptoms but a cure really doesn't happen until March when the matches start again. Good luck hope you get better.

Glenn, Airguns are key practice tools. I had a 15x Weaver on my Walther 10m gun and shot the official NRA 10m Silhouette target for years. It probably helped my scores more than anything else. Indoors no conditions to deal with and the gun will shoot one hole groups, any miss is yours no excuses. At times I used it for different types of training. One that got me most gain was shooting 40 trying for no wild or off shots. 40 shots with no jerks or off shots is real hard to do. Some point shooter needs to hold with a small wobble area. However AA or even AAA shooters will make more gains by not making any mistakes.

Since picking up the Cowboy rifles last spring have taken the scope off put the aperture rear back on and use a post front sight. Gone to the official NRA Air 50' Silhouette target and working on sight pictures hold points etc. Still have a lot to do making my mind up on center of body hold vs 6 o/c hold on the critters or some hybrid of both. Airgun lets me do it at home under controlled conditons. Steel knock overs are fun to shoot but give the paper targets a try. They show exactly whats happening.
